Aug.The Philippines is among the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, facing increasing risks from extreme heat, typhoons, flooding, sea-level rise, and other climate-related hazards. These hazards have significant implications for public health, including increased injuries and deaths, climate-sensitive diseases, food and water insecurity, and disruptions to essential health services. Strengthening the resilience of communities and health systems is therefore critical to protecting health and reducing climate-related vulnerabilities. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9729 (Climate Change Act of 2009) and Republic Act No. 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010), the Department of Health (DOH) is advancing the development of a Health National Adaptation Plan (HNAP) to integrate climate change adaptation into health sector planning. A comprehensive Climate and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation (V&A) Assessment is needed to identify priority climate-sensitive health risks, vulnerable populations, geographic hotspots, and health system gaps. The assessment will provide the evidence base for targeted adaptation actions, investment planning, and the development of climate-resilient health systems at national and subnational levels. Aug.Leading Healthcare Providers (LHP) Skillnet is seeking to partner with a suitably qualified organisation to undertake an independent longitudinal impact and evaluation study of the Nursing Home Leadership Education and Development (NH-LEAD) Initiative. Funded by the Department of Health, the NH-LEAD Initiative has been established to strengthen leadership, governance and management capability across Ireland's nursing home sector through the provision of accredited postgraduate education. The purpose of this procurement is to appoint an experienced research organisation to design and deliver a comprehensive mixed-methods evaluation of the initiative over its duration. The successful tenderer will be required to develop an evaluation framework and undertake a longitudinal study incorporating quantitative and qualitative research methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, stakeholder consultation, documentary review and other appropriate evaluation approaches. The evaluation should assess the implementation, effectiveness and impact of the initiative at learner, organisational and sectoral levels, providing robust evidence to inform future policy, programme development and investment in leadership education within the long-term residential care sector. The assignment will analyse priority health risks, particularly in high-risk sectors such as construction and domestic work, and assess the differentiated needs of women and men, including acute and long-term conditions linked to heat and dust exposure. It will examine health-seeking behaviours and barriers to care, and review legal, institutional and administrative arrangements in destination countries and Bangladesh, including a high-level mapping of GCC health insurance systems. The main objective of the contract is to obtain regular and high-quality open-source intelligence (OSINT) reports on migration that fulfil the specific needs of the EUAA and its stakeholders. These reports can avail themselves also of AI-input, but the contractor should ensure the use of high-quality sources, an accurate representation of the information collected and appropriate human oversight. EUAA reserves the right to duly assess against these benchmarks the products received. These reports should provide open-source information on selected themes related to different countries of origin and transit to supplement and enrich analyses on migration and the situation of asylum in the EU+. Department of Culture Communications SportKillarneyCreative Ireland is holding an open grant call for funding of approximately 10-15 Creative Climate Action projects lasting three years (36-month period) from 2026 to 2029. The successful grantees will likely include institutions and organisations with capacity to deliver large-scale projects, such as national cultural, climate and community organisations, NGOs, businesses, local authorities, networks and academic institutions working in the intersection of climate action, adaptation and creativity. There will be a focus on inter-disciplinary teams that include community partners, climate scientists, evaluators, and creative practitioners. The total value of grant funding is €6.5 million. A comprehensive, independent evaluation of the Creative Climate Action Fund III (2026-2029) initiative will provide an invaluable evidence-base to demonstrate to policymakers and funding Departments the impact and value of the initiative and its scalability. There is growing acknowledgement amongst policymakers that narrow macroeconomic measures like GDP do not capture the full range of citizens’ lived experiences. A sole focus on indicators like GDP can lead to other aspects of life – particularly those that cannot be easily assigned a monetary value, such as wellbeing, social inclusion and just transition – being undervalued. It is important that the final research equally balances both elements. It is envisaged that the process of the research will include, but not be limited to: * Coordination of 10-15 embedded evaluators at project level. The grantees are required to have an embedded evaluator in place at the beginning of the project. European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)BilbaoIn 2024 EU-OSHA ran the fourth European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER 2024) with the aim of providing nationally comparable information on how workplaces across Europe manage health and safety. Substantial analyses of the results of the three previous waves of ESENER, carried out in 2009, 2014 and 2019, have provided a valuable insight into how occupational safety and health (OSH) is managed in practice across Europe; what the main drivers and barriers are; how stress, violence and harassment are managed; the use of digital technologies and its impact on the health and safety of employees ; and how employees are involved. ESENER 2024 has maintained the methodological changes implemented back in 2014 and the questionnaires since then are largely the same too, which enables trend analyses. In each of the three previous waves of ESENER, EU-OSHA published an Overview report of the findings , showing the main results by country, activity sector and size class for the four sections of the survey: OSH management, Psychosocial risk management, Drivers and barriers to OSH, and Worker participation. This call for tender invites bids for the development of an in-depth analysis of the ESENER 2024 findings, including a comparison with those of ESENER 2014 and 2019, that will lead to an Overview Report.
