Tender description
The overall purpose of the present call for tenders is to provide for the necessary support for the activities of the Fire Information Exchange Platform (FIEP). This comprises of planning, preparation, implementation and reporting of FIEP meetings, both online and physical. It also covers support for preparation, coordination, drafting and finalisation of technical reports and other technical documents produced in the area of FIEP activities. These “ad-hoc” technical reports and documents are to be based on the input from the FIEP members, other potential experts and the expertise and knowledge of the contractor in the respective areas.

The services shall support the effective, coherent and visible delivery of programme activities, reinforce coordination among implementing partners and stakeholders, and contribute to the sustainability of the regional maritime security architecture. It shall cover five interlinked objectives: 1. To ensure effective coordination, supervision and coherence of actions implemented at programme level, including complementarity and synergies among implementing partners. 2. To strengthen effective ownership of programme activities at country and regional level. 3. To strengthen coordination and cooperation between regional and national partners and the Regional Coordination Operations Centre (RCOC) and Regional Maritime Information Fusion Centre (RMIFC). 4. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking an international consultant to provide technical leadership for the Model Zone Initiative and Sustainable Investment components of the programme “Building Future-Ready Industrial Zones” in Bangladesh, implemented with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA). The consultant will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of interventions to improve workforce skills, employment services, inclusion, workplace cooperation, social dialogue, compliance with labour rights, labour inspection, occupational safety and health, and governance systems in export processing zones. The role also includes advising on responsible business conduct, ESG practices, and investment competitiveness.
