The tunnel is located on county road 49 in Samnanger municipality, between Eikedalen and Bjørkheim. The tunnel has a length of 665 metres and one annual daily traffic (ÅDT) of 2831 vehicles (2023), of which 15% are heavy transport. It is classified in tunnel class B, signposted height 4.2 metres. The speed limit in the tunnel is 80 km/h. It has approx. 6% falls in the direction of Bjørkheim. The tunnel was opened to traffic in 1976. The upgrading mainly includes replacing and modernising electrical and technical control installations, the establishment of a new technical building in the open air, a new drainage and surface water system, as well as new railings both in the tunnel and in the open air zone. The completed upgraded tunnel shall have a lane width of 3.10 metres and the sign height of 4.2 metres, as well as the shoulder against the guide edge shall be 0.5 metres. NTNUTrondheimNTNU shall enter into a framework agreement for the inspection and maintenance of gas installations for NTNU ́s buildings in Trondheim. The delivery and place of work for the deliveries will be NTNU in Trondheim. The gas installations included in this agreement are located in a total of 15 different buildings in Trondheim. The buildings are mainly located at Gløshaugen in addition to a small number on Brattøra and Øya. The service contract is administered by the property department at NTNU, but the gas installations are owned by different institutes and the work shall be invoiced directly to each individual institute/site owner, total 23 units. The facilities currently include approx. 269 gas centrals with a total of 1,484 call-offs. The contracting authority is different departments and faculty at NTNU, Rise PFI AS and Sintef, each of which is the owner and orderer for their plants. The contract shall be a complete service agreement that includes: • Annual systematic condition checks • Improvements, including maintenance and repairs, as well as minor expansions and changes in the existing installations, as needed. • Re-opening and shut-off of systems and components as needed, a complete description of the delivery is in the requirement specifications.Periodical monitoring of technical installations

Aug.JRC-Geel has a contract with a technical maintenance provider, responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the installations. These installations are subdivided in the following sections: 1. Technical installations; HVAC, including plumbing, sanitary installations, drainage, water and gas supply; and electricity (HV and LV), lighting, emergency lighting, emergency generators, lightning protection, distribution boards, UPS’s equipotential connections and earthing; 2. Building elements (access, doors, windows, locks, outer walls, external carpentry, wall covering, flooring, ceiling, roof and parking area, gutters,…). These installations are located on the JRC-Geel site. The site has a surface of 38 hectares and contains approximately 20 buildings. Some of the installations are located in controlled areas for radiation protection purposes. This implies that staff working in these areas (including monitoring activities as described here) will need prior approval by a recognised company doctor. All these tasks in the controlled area are also subject to security clearance. The contractor shall foresee the relevant clearances for itself and all subcontractors (if any) that will require access to these areas. In order to audit the performance of the maintenance, as well as to have an objective evaluation of the status of the installations, JRC-Geel wishes to have the status of the technical installations monitored periodically by an independent contractor.
