JuliUnder the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA, Regulation 2023/1114) the European Banking Authority (EBA) is entrusted with direct supervisory responsibilities , where an asset-referenced token (ART) or electronic money token (EMT) is determined to be significant. To conduct the significance assessment, the EBA will use (i) regulatory reporting data and (ii) market monitoring, including crypto-asset data obtained via external data providers. Furthermore, the EBA has a statutory duty to monitor and assess market developments, including technological innovation and innovative financial services. In this regard, the EBA aims to obtain data to monitor and analyse crypto-asset market developments, including activities outside the current scope of MiCA, such as Decentralised Finance (DeFi) and activities involving tokenised assets. The EBA seeks to collect granular (and aggregate, where appropriate) real or near real-time data on crypto-assets and crypto-assets markets, including: 1) on-chain network data (e.g., the transaction, operational and economic activity occurring on a blockchain network, etc.), and 2) off-chain market data (e.g., the crypto-asset prices/quotes, market capitalisation, volumes, trade/order book data and trading venue-related information, etc.), relating to different blockchain networks and trading venues to monitor crypto assets in the EU and globally. Data should be accessible via a commercial subscription model. The services would also be provided for the Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA).European Monitoring of Biodiversity in Agricultural Landscapes (EMBAL) 2028

Okt.OBJECTIVES: The general objectives of this contract are to contribute towards i) the establishment of a robust data series on the state of biodiversity in agricultural landscapes in the EU, and ii) a better understanding of (the impacts of policy actions on) the biodiversity trends in agricultural landscapes at the EU and national level. The specific objectives of this contract are i) to undertake the EMBAL field survey in all EU Member States in 2028 and 2029, and ii) to analyse the collected data. The contract will survey at least 4500 sites in each year (i.e. undertake at least 9 000 site-surveys across the two years), strictly following the EMBAL survey protocol and technical guidelines as prepared and executed in the EMBAL survey 2022/2023. TASKS: 1) Preparation of the field survey (including sampling strategy and design, pre-processing of monitoring sites, selection and recruitment of surveyors, material and equipment, digitised data workflow, helpdesk, quality control and contingency planning); 2) Execution of the field survey; 3) Data post-processing; 4) Data analysis; 5) Organisation of a conference to present the results.
