Supply of engineering services for the design ISS and WDS
The services of the envisaged contract concern the supply of engineering services for the design of the ITER Isotope Separation System (ISS) and Water Detritiation System (WDS). The two systems can be described as chemical plants processing tritiated water and hydrogen isotope gas streams from the ITER machine. The detritiation of the water is done by WDS and the separation and purification of the hydrogen isotope gas streams is handled by ISS. Deliveries cover final design work on both systems to prepare their manufacturing, along with other tasks like qualification of components and support to the owner.
