A complete digital depot is included in this the context IT infrastructure, management systems and other software, routines and processes connected to reception, processing, preservation and presentation of digital archive material. This shall ensure reliable long-term storage and access to digital documentation, as well as facilitate data sharing between the City Archive, Oslo municipality ́s entities and other relevant groups. The depot shall also support effective depot management and fulfil the requirements for safety, traceability and verifiability. The city archive in Oslo municipality manages the municipality ́s digital documentation, but currently has not sufficient infrastructure or capacity for management and sharing of digital documentation in accordance with the law and regulations in the area or the need in the municipality.
