Forestry and agriculture are closely interlinked. Forests, mostly boreal forests, cover around 8.71% of the territory, but lack sustainable management. Forest value chains are underdeveloped, and little value is added to forest products. To that adds forest loss and degradation due to overgrazing by livestock, wildfire and pests. Thus, forestry contributes only 0.3% to the GDP with more than 10.000 employees. Climate change accelerates these developments and compromises essential ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration, clean air and water and protection against soil erosion and landslides. The Multi-Donor Action "Sustainable ecosystem and agriculture management for rural development in Mongolia" (STREAM+ , 08/2024 to 07/2028) is jointly co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ and its partner FAO (agricultural aspects). The part implemented by GIZ is part of the BMZ project "Supporting Protected Areas for the Conservation of Ecosystem Services (SPACES) II" and lasts from 03/2024 to 07/2028. The Specific Objectives of STREAM+ are: 1. Improved regulatory and/or policy framework to enable sustainable, climate-sensitive and gender inclusive management of forests and agriculture areas, and a fit-for-purpose Technical vocational and education training (TVET) sector. 2. Adopted integrated landscape management with focus on agriculture and forestry addressing food system challenges and climate change. 3. Developed and strengthened selected sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture and forestry value chains. 4. The scope is divided into two (2) lots with one Walk-to-Work vessel in each lot. Lot 2 Estimated date of delivery between December 2026 and February 2027, with a duration (expected) end of July 2027. The contract can be extended (options) for up to a total of three and a half (3½) months at the Contracting Entity’s discretion. The scope of each lot comprises the supply of a Walk-to-Work Vessel each with the following provisions: • The Walk-to-Work accommodation vessel and its crew shall take on the responsibility to act as an integrated part of the construction and daily operation of the windfarm, including taking on tasks to assist the Contracting Entity and other personnel. • Dynamic positioning system of no less than DP2. • Offshore accommodation and catering for at least 80 of Contracting Entity’s personnel (PAX) in preferable single cabin configuration. The tender is relevant only for forest areas and forestry. TVET agricultural planning and activities are not part of the tender. Partners: The counterpart of the forest component of STREAM+ is the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), with the newly created National Forest Agency (NFA) acting as the main implementation partner. The Mongolian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI) is another important partner in fostering the development of value chains for forest-based products. Intervention area: the forest component is implemented in 3 Aimags (10 Soums): Khentii (Soums: Batshireet, Bayan-Adrada, Binder and Umnudelger), Khuvsgul (Soums: Galt, Jargalant), and Selenge (Soums: Khuder, Javkhlant, Mandal, and Yeruu). Target Group: The target group comprises policymakers involved in developing and revising the forest law and other forest-related regulations and policies, as well as the various stakeholders engaged in implementing forest regulations (Aimag Forest Divisions, Inter-Soum / Soum Forest Units, Professional Forest Enterprises PFE, Forest User Groups FUG). JuliThe Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) hereby invites suppliers to pre qualification for the procurement of lightweight all terrain vehicles for military use in both winter and summer conditions, including snowmobiles and 6x6 ATVs. The procurement will be conducted as a negotiated procedure with prior pre qualification of candidates. A non exclusive framework agreement will be awarded to a single supplier, with an initial term of three years and an option for an additional four years, for a total potential duration of seven years. The estimated contract value is NOK 385 million, with an overall ceiling of NOK 710 million. The agreement covers the complete scope of supply and is not divided into lots. The procedure is organised as a two stage process, where this pre qualification constitutes stage 1. Only suppliers that meet the pre qualification requirements will be granted access to the tender stage (stage 2). These requirements are set out in the attached document “Pre-qualification Document”, which specifies the conditions for participation, required documentation, deadlines, and a description of the procurement process. The ITT will also include: (i) professional services for the design validation and onsite engineer presence during the deployment phase if and when required; (ii) training of ECMWF staff. In addition to degree-awarding education, the University provides non-degree education, including professional specialisation education, specialist training for physicians and dentists, specialist training for veterinarians, non-degree studies and micro-credentials. The University also organises commissioned degree-awarding education. Curricula are drawn up for approximately 110 degree programmes, one doctoral school, the Language Centre and several professional specialisation education programmes. Currently valid curricula contain roughly 2,800 study modules and 10,000 courses. University of HelsinkiUniversity of HelsinkiBiomedicum Imaging Unit In Vivo Imaging (BIU-IVI) is an open-access core service research infrastructure at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki, part of the Helsinki In Vivo Animal Imaging Platform (HAIP) of Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLife). BIU-IVI provides unique multimodal live animal imaging equipment and services for pre-clinical biomedical research. BIU-IVI acquired a modular imaging system for rodent positron emission tomography (PET) and X-ray computed tomography (CT) of rodents in 2022 from Molecubes, currently part of Bruker. With this system, the PET signal from radiolabeled tracers can be automatically co-registered with a CT image as an anatomical reference, with easy transfer of experimental animals between the two imaging modules. The current location of the PET/CT system is in Biomedicum Helsinki Laboratory Animal Centre, within a room retrofitted for this purpose, which enables combining nuclear imaging with e.g. the optical imaging modalities we offer in Biomedicum; however, the PET & CT modules can also be transported to other suitable locations e.g. in Kumpula or Viikki campuses when required. One of the most important criteria for the selection of the Molecubes imaging system at the time of procurement was the possibility of adding a third imaging module for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
