The Aral Sea Wetlands Project is implemented by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change together with UNDP and financed by the Global Environment Facility. The Project promotes integrated land and water management, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation and resilient livelihoods in the Lower Amu Darya.Land degradation remains a major challenge in the target landscape. Salinity, declining soil fertility, loss of vegetation cover, wind erosion and reduced productivity weaken ecosystems and livelihoods. The Project has generated land degradation neutrality assessments and sustainable land management recommendations, but locally suitable solutions still need practical field testing and evidence before wider replication.The Aral Sea Wetlands Innovation Challenge is therefore inviting pilot-ready innovations from businesses, research institutions, civil society and community-based actors. Sept.UNDP Viet Nam is looking for 01 qualified consultancy firm/institute/organization for the Living Lab Implementation and Team Support Partner for RE:ACT – Youth Innovation Challenge for Resilient Communities.Viet Nam is undergoing rapid digital transformation while facing increasing social, economic and environmental challenges affecting communities across the country. Climate change, natural disasters, urbanization, environmental degradation, digital divides and unequal access to opportunities continue to create new vulnerabilities, particularly for young people and communities in exposed or underserved areas. At the same time, Viet Nam has a dynamic youth population and a fast-growing innovation ecosystem, creating significant potential for young people to apply technology, entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving to real development challenges. Young people are increasingly interested in using digital tools, innovation and entrepreneurial approaches to address issues affecting their communities. However, many youth-led ideas remain at an early stage and require structured support to move from concept to prototype, testing and implementation. Young innovators often need access to mentors, technical experts, public sector stakeholders, private sector actors, universities, innovation hubs, startup networks and community partners in order to test their ideas, strengthen their solutions and connect with real users. In this context, UNDP Viet Nam, with the support of Samsung, will implement RE:ACT – Youth Innovation Challenge for Resilient Communities. The programme aims to mobilize young people in Viet Nam to develop innovative, practical and technology-enabled solutions that strengthen community resilience and respond to local development challenges. RE:Act will support youth-led teams through outreach, application and selection, mentoring, incubation and/or Living Lab activities, prototype development, user validation, stakeholder engagement and final showcase activities. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENTThe overall objective of this assignment is to engage a qualified national innovation ecosystem organization to provide technical support to the implementation of Living Labs component under RE:ACT – Youth Innovation Challenge for Resilient Communities, implemented by UNDP Viet Nam with the support of Samsung. STATSBYGGOSLOStatsbygg constructs the new Life Sciences Building (LVB) for the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research and South-East Health as the co-contracting authority. The building shall be the workplace for approx. 1,600 employees and 1,600 students. Start up for the excavation and ground work was the second quarter of 2019 and the planned completion is at the end of 2026. Various professional environments shall work multi-disciplinary here to develop new solutions for major challenges within health and sustainability with access to the best and most modern equipment required to carry out world class research, teaching and innovation.
