Superheater outlet steam headers at Avedøre Power Plant in Denmark.

The contract covers manufacture, testing and delivery of replacement outlet steam headers, transition pieces and part of connection tubes or the superheater HT3 outlet located at Avedøre Power Plant. The replacement is required following a steam leak incident and subsequent inspections where cracking indications were identified in dissimilar metal transition welds at the superheater HT3 outlet. The replacement is intended to restore pressure integrity and reduce the risk of further high pressure steam releases. A steam header is a thick walled manifold/collector that gathers steam from multiple tubes and distributes it onward, operating at very high pressure and temperature. Specifically, the contract covers the following supplies and services: Supply: • Complete 28 outlet headers according to BWE’s drawings, including transition pieces and part of connection tubes • Manufacturing activities including design, materials, welding, NDT, pressure testing and delivery Services: • Detail engineering • Supply of materials • Production and welding • Project management • PTS for purchase of materials • PMA for ASME SA-335 gr. P92 • PMA for ASME SA213 TP347HFG (if needed) • Heat treatment • NDT inspection according to WTP and applicable boiler standards (as per DKF) • Pressure testing • NoBo inspection • Workshop visits during manufacturing • FAT supervision • Temporary corrosion protection • Transportation to site
