The European Green Deal is the roadmap for making the EU’s economy sustainable. It is a set of policy initiatives with the overarching aim of making Europe climate neutral by 2050. The "Economics of Climate Change, Energy and Transport" Unit (JRC.C.6) of the Joint Research Centre supports the European Commission’s European Green Deal by performing economics-based research in several areas related to energy and climate change. This work includes the development of a reference toolset of economic models and the completion of associated research activities to improve the models' reliability and robustness. The JRC.C.6 Unit is based in Seville, Spain. JRC.C.6 is seeking to strengthen its socio-economic research and modelling capabilities by expanding its coverage of modelling areas and by updating and improving its existing models and toolsets. The unit JRC.C.6 maintains, develops and applies a number of quantitative tools to analyse the impact of different policies on the energy demand and supply sectors, as well as tools for macro-economic modelling. This toolset comprises the EU and global partial equilibrium models POTEnCIA and POLES including their corresponding databases (notably JRC-IDEES), and the global general equilibrium model JRC-GEM-E3. All these tools are able to provide model output in terms of CO2 emissions. The comprehensive modelling of climate change mitigation scenarios requires additional information as regards non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions as well as on emissions and sinks related to land use, land use change and forestry offsets (LULUCF). Besides, climate action can have important co[1]benefits in terms of reduced emissions of air pollutants and of improved air quality. This Framework Contract aims at supporting the operation of the abovementioned set of models by providing the JRC with data, methods and results relevant for the analysis of non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions, emissions of air pollutants (including air quality impacts), and LULUCF

European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BolognaFrist: 03. Sept. The main objective of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is to develop a European reference framework for climate scenarios to enhance consistency, comparability, and usability of climate risk information across Europe, addressing the current fragmentation of national and sectoral approaches. It proposes a common reference layer to support EU policy, adaptation planning, and cross-border decision-making, without replacing existing systems. The framework is conceived as a set of methodological principles, reference points, and guidance rather than a single dataset or scenario, helping users interpret and apply climate information in a coherent way. The work includes stakeholder engagement, a structured review of existing methods, gap analysis, definition of observational references, and the development of a robust and quality-assured framework. It will support users in selecting, combining, comparing, and communicating climate information for policy, regulatory, and investment purposes. A key principle is to promote harmonisation without homogenisation, preserving scientific diversity while enabling interoperability. Demonstrator datasets, communication activities, and implementation guidance will ensure the framework is practical, usable, and widely adopted across European and national stakeholders.Research on introduction of a new model for service development (MTU) in the police.
Politiets fellestjenesterOSLOFrist: 23. Sept. The Norwegian Police Directorate announces a competition for a research assignment in connection with the introduction of a new model for service development (MTU) in the police force. The model for service development involves new ways of working for the entire organisation. The implementation will involve changes in work forms, interaction, management and decision making. To ensure learning, quality and adjustment during the process, before new practices are allowed to join the organisation, the National Police Agency wants a research environment to carry out action research, or other type of follow-up research where researchers collaborate closely with the business, parallel to the implementation. The assignment shall support a structured and systematic learning process. The overall objective of the assignment is to support the implementation of the model through continual learning and to create an understanding of any change needs. The research shall contribute to concretising the goal achievement of the MTU and giving an independent assessment of whether this strengthens the police ́s ability to solve the social mission. The research theme is in the tender documentation.EEA/CCE/TC/26/005 - Topic Centre on Trends and Projections in Europe, Effort Sharing Regulation implementation, and Knowledge on the EU Emission Trading System 2027-2030
