This territorial study addresses the future policy needs, linked to the inclusion of the cross-border dimension in the Czechia’s Regional Development Strategy 2028+; for this purpose, it is important to understand whether and where Czech cross-border functional areas regions are present, and how their development dynamics and challenges differ. Through new granular territorial evidence and tailored recommendations, it will produce a comprehensive overview of the Czech cross-border functional areas, also alleviating the absence of a a standardised approach to the monitoring of these areas through a cross-border monitoring toolkit enabling long-term observation.

PEACEPLUS is a new cross-border funding Programme supported by the European Union, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Government of Ireland, and the Northern Ireland administration. The Programme is designed to support peace and prosperity across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland, building upon the work of the previous PEACE and INTERREG Programmes. In line with programme requirements and guidance, the SEUPB require a series of Impact Evaluations to be undertaken. Impact evaluations assess the change achieved by PEACEPLUS regarding each of the Programme’s objectives. They will evaluate the extent to which observed changes can be attributed to the Programme and which factors influenced achievement. Impact evaluations will also gather richer data on projects’ achievements and effects than can be captured through the monitoring system alone. Aug.Wild Atlantic Nature LIFE IP is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to deliver a one-year comprehensive Upland Monitoring and Demonstration Pilot Programme for assessing and demonstrating good practice in upland farms. Depending on progress in this period, it is envisaged to expand to a further 2 years. This initiative is supported through public funding from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), and includes Shared Island Initiative funding via the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
