Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking to procure multidisciplinary consultancy services to assist with the delivery of 2 proposed Barrier Mitigation Projects, Lyre Bridge and Glenshelane Weir in County Waterford, through the completion of Phases 1 to 3. The appointed Consultant will undertake all necessary engineering, environmental and planning services required to progress the project through feasibility, option selection, and statutory consent stages in accordance with the Planning and Development Acts 2000–2023, the Capital Works Management Framework, and Infrastructure Guidelines 2023. The Barrier Mitigation Projects aim to mitigate the impacts of the identified barriers on fish passage and restore more natural river processes along the associated rivers. The commission forms a specific action under Ireland’s Water Action Plan 2024 and supports implementation of the National Barrier Mitigation Programme to deliver improved ecological status under the EU Water Framework Directive. The Consultant will act as the Designer, Project Supervisor Design Process during all Phases of the project and carry out all related necessary duties.

The Shannon Upper and Lower River Basin (‘Shannon’) CFRAM Study Area included Nenagh as an Area for Further Assessment (AFA) and identified that a flood relief scheme for the community would be appropriate to be further developed for implementation. To advance and implement a flood relief scheme for Nenagh, Tipperary County Council, supported by a Steering Group, intends to commission a Contract to develop and assist with the implementation of the Scheme. This Contract will be procured using one Consulting firm (hereafter referred to as “the Consultant”) to progress both the Engineering and Environmental elements of the Tender Specification. Project Objectives - The objective of this project is the identification, design and submission for planning consent of a Flood Relief Scheme, that is technically, socially, environmentally and economically acceptable, to alleviate the risk of flooding in the community of Nenagh to a determined Standard of Protection, to complete the detailed design, and to procure, manage and oversee the construction of that Scheme. Department of Culture Communications SportKillarneyThe Creative Climate Action Fund III (2026-2029) is a key deliverable for the Creative Climate Action and Sustainability pillar of the Creative Ireland Programme. This fund seeks to build on the premise that transformational action on climate change requires cultural change throughout society, and with the ambition to utilise the potential of the arts, creativity and heritage to inspire and empower the culture change needed to transform to a net zero Ireland by 2050. A key finding of the evaluation of the first fund was the need for training and development of project leaders to ensure that this investment realises the object of building enduring capacity in the sector. There will be organisations from different sectors in receipt of the grant funding including: arts and cultural organisations, local authorities, research institutions, environmental groups and community development organisations. We envisage that there will be up to 15 projects funded. These projects teams have a good knowledge of climate action. However, a consistency of understanding of the policy objectives and best-practice methods of project delivery will be essential to the success of the fund. The objective of this tender is to establish a framework agreement with three environmental and social consultancy firms (Consultants) to provide expert services required by the E&S Experts as the case may be. The Consultants will perform the tendered services on the basis of single assignments. E&S will either allocate them on the basis of a cascade-system if the services to be executed are standard tasks or by awarding them on grounds of a mini-competition between the three Consultants if the services to be performed are non-standard tasks. Sept.Offaly County Council invites tenders for engineering and environmental consultancy services for the Rahan Flood Relief Scheme at Tullybeg, Rahan, County Offaly, on the River Clodiagh. The Scheme comprises approximately 430 metres of reinforced concrete flood defence wall along the right bank of the River Clodiagh, with embankment at the tie-in points, protecting residential properties and the wastewater treatment plant to the 1 percent AEP fluvial standard. The commission covers Stage (ii) statutory consent and detailed design, Stage (iv) construction-stage services and Stage (v) handover and defects period, under the Capital Works Management Framework. The construction works will be delivered by Office of Public Works direct labour; procurement of a works contractor is not included in this commission. The services include detailed design, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, ground investigation specification and interpretation, review and validation of the completed EIA and Appropriate Assessment screening, statutory consent documentation for approval under Part 8, works package preparation for direct labour delivery, Project Supervisor Design Process duties, construction-stage technical support and design authority, and handover documentation. The Scheme is funded by the Office of Public Works.Framework agreement for geotechnics, engineering geology and environmental geology.
