To address these challenges, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is implementing a series of infrastructure and basic service improvement projects. These interventions were identified and prioritized by the target communities through a participatory settlement planning process, during which communities developed Strategic Settlement Plans (SSPs) to comprehensively address their development needs and challenges.
