Dublin City Council aims to enhance the quality of life for its residents by developing an integrated Active Travel Network. This comprehensive network is designed to foster connections among individuals via pedestrian pathways, segregated cycle provision, and other environmentally friendly transportation alternatives. The enhancement of accessibility and interconnectivity for people walking, wheeling and cycling within this network is anticipated to play a pivotal role in mitigating carbon emissions originating from transport activities. The council’s objective is to augment the existing 40km network into a seamlessly connected 314km network spanning the entire city. The Dodder Greenway Milltown Road - Dodder walk to Dundrum Road Active Travel Scheme is one of the projects identified under this initiative. The Dodder Greenway Milltown Road - Dodder walk to Dundrum Road Active Travel Scheme extends along Milltown Road between Dodder walk and Dundrum Road for a length of 1.2km. The Scheme includes the provision of segregated cycle facilities, improved pedestrian facilities (footpath and junction upgrades), ducting, resurfacing etc. the scheme also includes the upgrade of two signal-controlled junctions to improve pedestrian and cyclist facilities, the two junctions are: Milltown Rd and Churchtown Rd junction and Milltown Rd and Dundrum Rd junction. The Scheme comprises: - Re-configuration of existing carriageway for inclusion of cycle provision - Site Clearance - Pavement works - Kerbs and Footways - Traffic Islands - Public lighting - Traffic signs and road markings - Drainage works - Traffic signals and Ducting - Utilities upgrades - Landscaping and Urban Realm Works - Bus Shelters (foundation only) - Bike Stands - Temporary Traffic Management Please note that this project is subject to funding. The North Circular Road (Dorset Street Lower to Amiens Street) Active Travel Scheme extends along North Circular Road and Portland Row, between Dorset Street Lower and Amiens Street, for a length of approximately 1.1km. The scheme includes the provision of segregated cycle facilities, improved pedestrian facilities (footpath and junction upgrades), ducting, carriageway resurfacing, etc.. The scheme also includes the upgrade of three signal-controlled junctions to improve pedestrian and cyclist facilities; the three junctions are at Belvedere Place, Fitzgibbon Street and Summerhill. It also ties into two further junctions at Dorset Street Lower and at Amiens Street (The Five Lamps) junction. Louth County Council_381DundalkThe objective of the proposed scheme is to provide a transport corridor through the northern hinterland of Dundalk which will cater for growth and development over the 20 year period 2025 2044 during which time the population of the town is expected to grow significantly. The lands to the north of the town centre have been zoned for both commercial and residential use. Additional infrastructure is required to enable access to these areas and also to cater for new locally generated traffic. The proposed scheme will cater for a medium level of development in the future. This scenario is considered the most appropriate level of sustainable development for the aforementioned period. The existing environment consists of a former golf course and agricultural land with a mixture of pasture and tillage fields. The proposed road scheme will allow for development of the lands on both sides of the route and will also help avoid the likely build up of traffic congestion which would occur in Dundalk town centre. The proposed scheme will include for either a new overbridge or upgrades to existing bridge infrastructure on the Dublin to Belfast railway line and potential junctions, linking to the existing and proposed road networks.Celbridge Hazelhatch Mobility Corridor (Phase 5 to 7)
Kildare County Council_385NaasFrist: 25. Aug.Detailed Design, Construction Administration and Project Handover of all scheme works, as approved or modified by An Coimisiún Pleanála. Approximately 2.0 km of new single carriageway mobility corridor extending from the R403 Clane Road to the R405 Hazelhatch Road, incorporating high quality active travel provision throughout. A new 66m long clear span bridge crossing of the River Liffey, designed in accordance with relevant Eurocodes and OPW requirements, with no in stream works required. Segregated footpaths and cycle facilities provided along the full length of the route, including: 2.0m wide one way cycle tracks and 2.0 m wide footpaths on both sides of the carriageway for the majority of the corridor; and a 3.0 m wide two way cycle track and footpath on constrained sections approaching Hazelhatch and Celbridge Train Station. New and upgraded junctions including signalised junctions at the R403 Clane Road, Newtown Road and R405 Hazelhatch Road, together with a priority junction at Simmonstown Manor Road and improvements to the Loughlinstown Road roundabout. Public lighting, drainage and SuDS infrastructure, including roadside drainage systems and attenuation features designed to limit discharge to greenfield run off rates and improve existing flood risk conditions. Landscaping, planting and biodiversity measures, including native species woodland and hedgerow planting, tree planting and integration of sustainable drainage features, delivering a net biodiversity gain along the corridor. Utility diversions, protections and accommodation works, including foul and surface water drainage infrastructure, watermains, ESB, Gas Networks and telecommunications assets, as required to facilitate delivery of the scheme. The Consultant shall undertake an Infrastructure Review in conjunction with Kildare County Council, relevant utility providers and other key stakeholders. All environmental mitigation, monitoring and reporting required under the Appropriate Assessment process, Natura Impact Statement, Flood Risk Assessment, and associated environmental and technical assessments accompanying the Section 177AE application. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbHEschbornThis project MoVe Senegal - Mobilité Verte au Sénégal (Green Mobility) is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in partnership with the Senegalese Ministry of Infrastructure and Road and Air Transports (MITTA), which is the political counterpart, and the Executive Council for Sustainable Urban Transportation (CETUD) being the implementing partner. MoVe Senegal is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project supports the Ministry of Infrastructure, Road and Air Transport (MITTA) and the Executive Council of Sustainable Urban Transport (CETUD) in the development of walking and cycling strategies. In Dakar, 69% of journeys are made on foot. However, pedestrians face considerable dangers because sidewalks and crossings are often poorly planned, dilapidated, or non-existent. Over 60% of road users complain about the lack of sidewalks or their obstruction by parked cars, mobile traders, shops, and informal public transport stops. Overall, the city lacks a coherent strategy for active modes of transport that aims to integrate walking and cycling into the urban transport system. To date, transport planners have focussed mainly on automotive transport and to a lesser extent on public transport. Transport infrastruc-ture for active modes is rarely planned, and if it is, then only as part of individual projects, such as the creation of cycle lanes along the new BRT corridor or a city council cycling project along a fitness trail. As a result, there is neither a coherent cycle path network nor high quality infra-structure for pedestrians. Therefore, the project's primary objective is to anchor active mobility as an integral component of transport planning in the Dakar metropolitan region. Orkland KommuneOrkangerOrkland municipality shall procure winter maintenance services to ensure good and predictable accessibility and traffic safety for all road user groups travelling along the municipal road network. This means roads, foot/cycle paths, pavements, bus lay-bys, squares, traffic islands, turning sledges, car parks, car parks, access to municipal water and sewage facilities and pockets etc. Private areas and private roads/exits are not included in the municipality ́s snow clearing scheme. Winter operations include snow clearing, gritting, re-clearing. The removal of snow is to be carried out in accordance with orders. Special focus areas in winter are safe school roads, soft road users, bus streets and traffic safety. The procurement ́s value is estimated to: NOK 65,000,000 excluding VAT. The volume is an estimate and is not binding for the contracting authority.
