Die Stadt Meerbusch plant den Neubau einer gemeinsamen Feuer- und Rettungswache an der Moerser Str. Die neue Wache soll 25 Stellplätze für Einsatzfahrzeuge (20 für Brandschutz, 5 für Rettungsdienst) sowie Wasch- und Desinfektionshallen, Werkstätten, Räume für Einsatzabwicklung, Ausbildung, Aufenthalt, Verwaltung und Haustechnik umfassen. Für die Beschäftigten sind mind. 62 Stellplätze und umfangreiche Außenanlagen vorgesehen. Die Stadt strebt eine Vergabe im ÖPP-Inhabermodell an, wobei Planung, Bau, Finanzierung, Bewirtschaftung und Betrieb unter Beachtung von Sparsamkeit, Wirtschaftlichkeit und ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit erfolgen sollen.
