UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select a supplier for the provision of TRAVAUX DE CONSTRUCTION DE TRENTE – HUIT (38) ESPACES TEMPORAIRES D’APPRENTISSAGE ET QUINZE (15) PORTES DE LATRINES DURABLES, TERRITOIRE DE KARISIMBI 2, HIMBI, NYIRAGONGONGO, ET KIBUMBA, PROVINCE DU NORD KIVU, REPARTIS EN TROIS (03) LOTS DISTINCTS. This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system. By clicking on the blue ‘Express Interest’ button in the UNGM tender notice, the full UNICEF e-submission system instructions to bidders document (including instructions on how to access the tender documents and submit an Offer) will be automatically emailed to the ‘contact persons’ included in your UNGM registration. As such, JURE project will be implemented in close consultation and partnership with key justice sector stakeholders including the Judicial Service Commission, Ministry of Justice, Attorney General’s Department and Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka, the academia, professional bodies and civil society organizations. Commercial Mediation offers a faster, cost-effective, and confidential alternative to court litigation, particularly for commercial disputes. Despite formal recognition in Sri Lanka’s legal system, mediation has remained underutilized due to inconsistent lawyer referrals and limited integration within the legal profession, contributing to court backlogs, higher transaction costs, and reduced business confidence. To address these challenges, the establishment of a Commercial Mediation Centre was identified as a key intervention, with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) selected as the most suitable host institution.
