Leading Healthcare Providers (LHP) Skillnet is seeking to partner with one or more Higher Education Institutions to deliver a Level 9 Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing Home Management specifically designed for leaders working within Ireland's nursing home sector. This initiative, fully funded by the Department of Health, aims to strengthen leadership, governance and management capability across nursing homes through the provision of accredited postgraduate education tailored to the Irish residential care sector. The initiative will provide one fully funded place for every nursing home in Ireland over the lifetime of the programme. The initial phase of the initiative will commence in 2026, this procurement relates to the continued national rollout of the initiative during 2027 and 2028. Established in January 2008, Leading Healthcare Providers (LHP) Skillnet is a not-for-profit Learning Network co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and our member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded through the National Training Fund by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. Of the 70+ Skillnet Ireland Learning Networks, LHP Skillnet is the only Network dedicated exclusively to supporting the private healthcare sector. We do this through the provision of high-quality, sector-led, subsidised training, education, research and workforce development. Skillnet Ireland, on behalf of LHP Skillnet, has been awarded this contract by the Department of Health to manage the rollout of the Nursing Home Leadership Education and Development (NH-LEAD) Initiative. The aim of the initiative is to strengthen the leadership capability of nursing home managers and senior leaders, supporting excellence in governance, regulatory compliance, quality improvement and person-centred care. Through collaboration with one or more Higher Education Institutions, the initiative will equip leaders with the knowledge, skills and professional competencies required to respond to the increasingly complex operational, regulatory and strategic demands of residential care services.

KRISTIANSAND KOMMUNESØGNEDeadline: Jul 24Kristiansand municipality is working for the implementation of free user choice in home nursing care. The municipality has had dialogue with the market for several rounds, the first time in spring 2025 when it was to be assessed whether free user choices should be introduced. The city council decided 24.09.2025 that work should be initiated with the implementation of free user choices in home nursing care. A market dialogue was held in March 2026, in which potential tenderers received information about the process, where the municipality asked a number of questions to the market. The market dialogue was held with a digital meeting, an option for one-to-one meetings and an opportunity to provide written input. There were several potential suppliers who were engaged in the market dialogue in addition to NHO, and the municipality received valuable input for the work. The municipal administration has subsequently worked on preparing the tender documentation and a case that will be subject to political treatment in autumn 2026. There are still many decisions to be made, both administratively and politically, so there is still some uncertainty as to how the tender documentation will be. This means that there is also room for the market to provide input on the work, and elements that the administration should consider in the further work. Kristiansand municipality emphasises that they are open. In order to ensure good input from potential suppliers, we share as much information as possible at this stage, even if some conditions are still unresolved. This market dialogue represents a continuation of the already completed market dialogues with some more concrete questions related to the price model, etc., whereupon it is also possible for new suppliers to provide input for the implementation of the competition. The deadline for submitting feedback is 29 June 2026 at 16:00. The case for guidelines that are relevant for the competition shall be for political treatment just over the summer. Based on this, the municipality needs to get any input from tenderers by the end of the current month, so that the municipality can have time to decide on the tenderers ́ input that is relevant for the relevant case.
