LOT 4 - Site Forensic Archaeologists / Site Archaeologists - ODAIT seeks the services of full-time Forensic Archaeologists and Archaeologists with experience of extensive excavation experience to work on site as part of a multidisciplinary team undertaking the recovery of human remains and other evidence from the Tuam Site in accordance with the Institutional Burials Act 2022 and forensic best practice. LOT 5 - Site Human Osteoarchaeologists / Site Forensic Anthropologists - ODAIT seeks the services of Human Osteo-archaeologists / Forensic Anthropologists to work on site full time, as part of a multidisciplinary team undertaking the recovery of human remains recovered from the Tuam Site in accordance with the Institutional Burials Act 2022 and forensic best practice. These individuals will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team who are recording and excavating human remains and associated evidence from the site of the former ‘Mother and Baby Home’ at Tuam, Co. Galway.

The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention TuamDeadline: Aug 06The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam (ODAIT), acting as Contracting Authority, is conducting this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) to assess market capability and capacity, inform procurement strategy and packaging of services and identify suitably qualified and experienced service providers. This notice is not a call for competition. It is an information-gathering exercise only. ODAIT is considering the procurement of professional services to support archaeological excavation (single context method), forensic recovery under controlled conditions and analysis of human remains in accordance with the Institutional Burials Act 2022, international best practice and forensic standards. Through different research projects, an OSH overview contributes to the development and sharing of good practice, both at the level of policy and of workplace intervention. Depending on the focus and scope of the project, they involve literature reviews, case studies, interviews with key informants at policy, research or company level, focus groups, workshops and seminars. This specific OSH overview on CVDs and OSH seeks to improve the prevention of CVDs related to work, the return-to-work (RTW) of workers after a CVD event and the retention at work (RAT) of workers with chronic CVDs. Through the various projects implemented as part of this OSH overview, it aims at investigating the occupational risk factors leading to work-related CVDs, as well as their interplay with non-work-related determinants of CVDs; explore in more depth specific sectors, occupations and worker groups at higher risk; collect data on the burden and underlying causes of work-related CVDs in the EU; identify and assess policies, strategies and programmes, as well as workplace interventions and practices to prevent work-related CVDs, to support the RTW of workers after a CVD or the RAT of workers with chronic CVDs. First findings from the ongoing projects under this OSH overview have consistently identified a critical gap between evidence and practice: while the evidence linking work-related risks to CVD is relatively well established, documented examples of effective workplace-level practices and resources remain scarce.
