The United Nations (UN) invites qualified interested companies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in an upcoming solicitation for the provision of a Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solution. The UN is seeking a supplier to deliver, deploy and support network security technologies that protect the Organization's global network. The solution shall comprise: • Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) — deep packet inspection, application awareness and control, intrusion detection and prevention, TLS/SSL inspection (including TLS 1.3), DoS/DDoS and anti-spoofing protection, data leak prevention, threat intelligence feed ingestion, site-to-site and remote access VPN, and standards-based routing; • Secure Web Gateway (SWG) — web and content filtering, vendor-maintained URL categorization, malware scanning and sandboxing, and SaaS/CASB visibility and control, including protection for users and mobile devices outside the UN network. The solution must be offered as both physical and virtual appliances across a range of capacity categories, from branch office to enterprise data centre. It must support centralized management with delegated, role-based local administration; multi-factor authentication for administrative access; standardized logging with a minimum two-year retention and real-time export to third-party SIEM tools; and integration with existing UN infrastructure, including enterprise directory services, public cloud platforms and SD-WAN. The scope covers supply and delivery (DAP), installation, configuration and integration at UN offices, field missions and data centres worldwide; solution design and testing prior to go-live; long-term maintenance, subscription and critical patch management; round-the-clock technical support with a defined escalation process; hardware replacement; and training for UN technical personnel. Vendors must also be able to offer a hardware leasing model. The Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT), New York, will have overall responsibility for the management of the resulting contract. The UN intends to establish a contract for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for two (2) additional one-year terms, for a maximum total duration of five (5) years. The UN may split the resulting award among more than one service provider. The details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information Interested companies should be able to demonstrate: • a minimum of five (5) years' experience providing the same or similar solutions in large-scale, multi-location global deployments; • the ability to provide implementation and remote support services globally, across multiple time zones; • at least three (3) references for comparable global deployments.
