Trinity College Dublin the University of Dublin_336DublinThe RaTher – Rapid Thermal Analysis system will be used for the acquisition of an advanced thermal analysis instrument which combines the techniques of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in one robust instrument coupled with a gas changer and sample robot allowing for the automatic, high throughput measurement of both TGA and DSC data for 10 or more samples.Integrated Measurement System for 2D/3D Fluid/Particle Velocity and Surface Deformation (2D/3D-PIV-DIC) for Trinity College Dublin (TCD)
Trinity College Dublin the University of Dublin_336DublinThe Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering in Trinity College Dublin requires the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of an advanced 2D/3D Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system to support cutting-edge experimental research in fluid dynamics and solid mechanics. The system shall comprise a high-energy pulsed laser, synchronised high-resolution cameras, precision timing and control units, and fully integrated acquisition and analysis software. The solution must be capable of capturing high-accuracy, time-resolved measurements of velocity fields, particle motion, and surface deformation, enabling two-dimensional (2D) and ideally also three-dimensional (3D) analysis. It should support applications involving complex flow regimes, multiphase flows, and structural behaviour under varying conditions. Flexibility for future upgrades is essential, including the potential to incorporate temperature and scalar concentration measurements. The equipment must demonstrate proven reliability, accuracy, and repeatability, and be suitable for intensive research use. Full installation, calibration, commissioning, and user training are required, along with comprehensive documentation and ongoing technical support. The system must integrate seamlessly with existing laboratory infrastructure and contribute to enhancing the Department’s research capabilities and output.Supply and Maintenance of Non-Destructive Assay System for Radioactive Waste Measurement
European Commission, DG GROW - Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEsBrusselsDeadline: Sep 11NDA system needed for the measurements of radioactive waste and waste for clearance. University College CorkCorkDeadline: Sep 10The procurement is for commercial gravimetry instruments to support the establishment of a Quantum Gravimetry Laboratory at University College Cork. The required instruments include: 1) A portable field relative gravimeter for high-precision gravity measurements, microgravity surveys, underground engineering applications, geotechnical and environmental investigations, instrument comparison, teaching, and research training. 2) A vertical gravity gradient tripod compatible with the field gravimeter, to enable gravity gradient measurements. This is particularly useful in tunnels, underground spaces, and shallow anomaly investigations where the regional gravity field is difficult to assess.Exhaust air measurement system for FAIR
FAIR - Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbHDarmstadtIn the permit applications for the construction of FAIR, FAIR GmbH specified the maximum amount of activity in the exhaust air through conservative estimates using maximum beam parameters and covering beam scenarios. Due to the expected amount of activity in the exhaust air, FAIR will be required in the future to operate an exhaust air measurement system that specifies the composition and activity of the discharge. The sampling system should consist of a sampling rack that takes a representative air sample of approximately 1/1000 of the exhaust air volume flow, transports it to the measuring devices via a loop system, and returns it to the exhaust air stream after the measurement. The measuring system should enable continuous measurement of radioactive aerosols and gaseous radioactive nuclides. Gamma spectrometric measurements should be performed in parallel or subsequently during both measurements.Establishment of a panel for Hotel Accommodation for Trinity College Dublin
