Tender description
The objective of the project is the construction of an operational battery storage facility with an installed power of 200 MW and a storage capacity between 400 and 800 MWh. The plant is designed as a commercially operated facility and is primarily geared towards participation in the wholesale electricity market (day-ahead and intraday) and the balancing energy markets. It is intended to contribute to the stabilisation of the power grid, support the integration of renewable energies and provide flexibility within the energy system. The project is realised entirely under an EPC contract. The contractor assumes overall responsibility for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of the turnkey plant. The supply and performance boundary is formed by the substation to which the storage facility is connected. In addition, the tender covers the transition into operation as well as long-term operational safeguards. These include in particular a multi-year operation and maintenance contract (O&M), availability and performance guarantees including safeguarding of the capacity over the service life (degradation), extended warranty and long-term guarantees as well as a secured spare parts stock. The objective is reliable and economic plant operation throughout the entire life cycle.
