The MOSAIC project, funded under SEUPB’s PeacePLUS programme, requires advanced autonomous survey capability to support habitat association modelling, seabed mapping, and conservation planning for OSPAR-listed elasmobranchs around the Northern Ireland and Donegal coastline. To meet these scientific and operational objectives, Queen’s University Belfast seeks to procure two micro Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems capable of delivering high-resolution side scan sonar (SSS) imagery and georeferenced photogrammetric datasets. Traditional survey methods using divers, ROVs, or towed systems are limited by weather dependency, risk, cost, and lack of repeatability. Micro AUVs overcome these limitations by providing safe, autonomous, repeatable, and cost efficient surveys at 30–300 m depth. Two complementary AUV platforms are required: one dedicated to side scan sonar mapping of benthic habitats, and one equipped for photogrammetry to capture detailed seabed imagery for egg case detection, microhabitat annotation, and ground truthing of predictive models.

Construction and Procurement DeliveryBelfastDeadline: Jul 19The Agri‑Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) is one of the world’s leading providers of scientific research and evidence-based services to government, non-governmental, and commercial organisations. With a unique breadth of facilities and multidisciplinary scientific capability spanning agriculture, animal health, food, the environment, biosciences, and economics, AFBI undertakes a wide range of impactful research projects for both the public and private sectors.Funding has been secured through the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) administered PEACEPLUS scheme to deliver the ACCLIMATISE project, an all-island initiative aimed at developing an integrated marine climate change monitoring and assessment toolbox for the island of Ireland. As part of this programme, AFBI is seeking to procure next‑generation observational technologies capable of monitoring and quantifying changes in plankton communities and associated marine food webs within the Irish Sea. The Fisheries and Aquatic Ecosystems Branch (FAEB) of AFBI requires the procurement of one flow cytometry-based plankton imaging system capable of high resolution imaging, optical triggering, and automated morphological analysis of marine plankton and suspended particulates. Suppliers should refer to the Specification for further information on the requirements.CFT 260003 Supply, Delivery (unloaded and positioned at the point of use), Installation, Commissioning, Training, Warranty and Maintenance of a GC\MS System for Analysis of Evolved Gases and Combustion Products from Solid Fuels
Finance Directorate - Queen's University BelfastBelfastDeadline: Jul 11The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering requires the procurement of a Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) system to support the analysis of volatile and semi-volatile compounds generated from the thermal decomposition and combustion of solid fuels and related materials. The system will form part of an integrated analytical capability under the PEACEPLUS Clean Air project, supporting research, method development, and future accredited testing activity. The primary function of the GC/MS system is to enable qualitative and quantitative analysis of evolved gases and combustion products, including volatile organic compounds, oxygenated species, and other trace emissions relevant to air quality and fuel characterisation. The system must be capable of operating as a standalone analytical platform and must also be compatible with a separately procured thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) system for evolved gas analysis workflows. The specification therefore includes requirements for interfacing, gas transfer, and handling of low-concentration, transient species.RETENDER **SIGNPOST TO eTENDERSNI CfT 6610722** PEACEPLUS supported Tender for Delivery of ABC Councils Positive Pathways Programme - an Outdoor Instructor Training programme in Snow Sports and Water Sports
