Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The ILO seeks an External Collaborator to assess health protection gaps affecting Bangladeshi migrant workers across selected Bangladesh–GCC corridors and upon return. The assignment will analyse priority health risks, particularly in high-risk sectors such as construction and domestic work, and assess the differentiated needs of women and men, including acute and long-term conditions linked to heat and dust exposure. It will examine health-seeking behaviours and barriers to care, and review legal, institutional and administrative arrangements in destination countries and Bangladesh, including a high-level mapping of GCC health insurance systems. It will also assess schemes accessible upon return and their alignment with ongoing social health protection reforms and emerging national health initiatives. Based on this, the consultant will identify priorities and develop sequenced, and where feasible costed, policy options to strengthen health protection across the migration cycle, including pathways for migrant-specific measures and/or integration into national systems, while supporting policy dialogue under the ILO STREAM and MPTF programmes. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
