Education Procurement Service (EPS)LimerickDeadline: Jul 16Lot 1: Vapour Smoothing (VS) Machine: A vapour smoothing machine is a post-processing system used to enhance the surface finish of 3D-printed parts. It works by applying controlled vapour to smooth and seal the surface, improving appearance, strength, and durability. It is commonly used to produce higher-quality, functional parts for research and small-scale production. Lot 2: High-Temperature Printer: A high-temperature printer is an industrial-grade 3D printing system designed to produce strong, functional parts from advanced engineering plastics. It is used for prototyping, research, and low-volume manufacturing of components that need to withstand high temperatures or mechanical stress, offering reliable performance and consistent quality. Lot 3: Thermo-Mechanical Analyser (TMA): A TMA is a precision laboratory instrument used to measure how materials expand, contract, or deform under controlled temperature changes and small mechanical loads. It is primarily used in research to analyse thermal properties such as expansion, softening, and glass transition across a wide range of materials, helping to understand material behaviour in different environments. Lot4: Filament Line: A filament line is a small-scale production system used to create continuous strands of material with consistent diameter. It melts and extrudes material into filament, which is then cooled and wound onto spools. It is mainly used to produce materials for applications like 3D printing and research, where uniformity and material quality are important.26/310 Request for Tenders for the Provision of a Planer Moulder to Atlantic Technological University, Sligo Campus

University of Galway (ID 1400)GalwayDeadline: Jul 23University of Galway invites tenders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of a High-Resolution Research grade X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) Core Scanner The Discipline of Geography, within the School of Geography, Archaeology and Irish Studies at the University of Galway is actively engaged in research relating to sedimentary archives, including lake, marine, and peat cores, which are critical for reconstructing past environmental and climatic conditions. These research activities require high-resolution, non-destructive analytical techniques to characterise elemental composition and stratigraphy. The acquisition of an XRF core scanner will significantly enhance the Discipline’s analytical capabilities, supporting existing research programmes and enabling new avenues of investigation in environmental and archaeological sciences. The XRF core scanner system is required for the non-destructive analysis of drill cores and wet sediment cores, with elemental detection spanning magnesium (Mg) to uranium (U). The system will be used for advanced research applications in geoscience, environmental science, and related disciplines. The investment in this equipment aligns with the University of Galway’s strategic priorities in sustainability, climate action, and research excellence, and will contribute to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration within the School and across the wider research community.
