This specification defines the ESB’s requirements for heavy haulage service providers to collect and transport abnormally sized electrical and engineering equipment. This includes, but not limited to, heavy-weight, oil-filled transformers and GIS modules. The service will cover loading, transport and unloading at ESB Networks Substation sites nationwide and other locations as required. The range of such loads will typically vary from 10 tonnes up to 500 tonnes. There will also be a requirement to provide a service for the transport, loading and unloading of abnormal loads less than 10 tonne.
