Supply of engineering services for the design ISS and WDS
The services of the envisaged contract concern the supply of engineering services for the design of the ITER Isotope Separation System (ISS) and Water Detritiation System (WDS). The two systems can be described as chemical plants processing tritiated water and hydrogen isotope gas streams from the ITER machine. The detritiation of the water is done by WDS and the separation and purification of the hydrogen isotope gas streams is handled by ISS. Deliveries cover final design work on both systems to prepare their manufacturing, along with other tasks like qualification of components and support to the owner. The scope covers also qualification testing of components of ISS, WDS and the REMS the Radiological Environmental Monitoring System and prototyping tasks for some components of the tritium fuel cycle. - Health Service Executive (HSE)Kildare
The Supply of AI System for Endoscopy nationally
HSE Procurement intends to purchase approximately 15 AI systems for Endoscopy nationally from Medtronic Ireland Ltd. For clinical reasons Endoscopy require 1. Real-time detection (CADe) of colorectal lesions regardless of size, morphology or location 2. Real-time characterization (CADx) with clear differentiation between adenomatous and non-adenomatous lesions 3. On-screen real-time visual output usable during live procedures 4. Caecum landmark recognition 5. Bowel Preparation Score for each colonoscopy procedure 6. Validated and Precise Polyp Sizing that measures polyps on a 0-10mm scale and complimented by a > 10mm indicator. Detection alone is insufficient to drive workflow efficiency and optimize patient pathways & outcomes Characterization with accurate sizing supports: a. Clinical decision-making b. Reduction in unnecessary polypectomy and c. Productivity and cost efficiency. As such these requirements nationally are justified. HSE Procurement is satisfied that Medtronic is capable of fulfilling these requirements and that the Medtronic GI Genius AI system is compatible with all Fuji, Olympus (legacy and current generation systems) and Pentax stack systems. Consequently, in accordance with Article 32(2)(b)(ii) of Directive 2014/24/EU, competition is absent for technical reasons and the award of this contract to Medtronic Ireland Ltd without a competitive process is permitted by the procurement regulations. HSE Procurement undertake that no contract shall be awarded to Medtronic Ireland Ltd for the supply of these items until a period of fourteen days has elapsed, commencing on the day after the date of publication of this notice at European level.
