The Disease Prevention Unit of the European Commission’s (EC) Joint Research Centre has been assigned with tasks in the field of cancer prevention and rare diseases that include the development of new European guidelines and quality assurance schemes for the six most prevalent cancer sites (breast, cervical, colorectal, gastric, lung and prostate cancer) representing over 50% of the cancer burden in the European Union. The purpose of this procurement procedure is to provide continuity for the collection, analysis and assessment of the underpinning evidence informing the EC initiatives, following a uniform methodological framework. The purpose of Lot 1 is to perform mapping exercises (e.g. background or scoping reviews, identification of existing guidelines) and evidence reviews, including systematic reviews, synthesis and critically appraisal of evidence, and definition of Evidence to Decision frameworks (EtDs) for the development and update of guideline recommendations, with emphasis, but not exclusively, on breast, colorectal, cervical and lung cancer. Research Services for Updating QQI’s Standards-based Assessment Infrastructure for FET and HE in Ireland
QQI is the Qualifications and Quality Assurance Authority of Ireland with responsibility for (among other things) • the external quality assurance of providers of further education (FET) and training or higher education (HE) (providers) in Ireland including designated, delegated and listed awarding bodies. • the external quality assurance of designated and listed awarding bodies that are not providers. • the provision of statutory guidelines on the quality assurance of education, training, research and related services. • determining national policies and criteria for access, transfer and progression in relation to learners (ATP), and monitoring the implementation of procedures for ATP by providers. • promoting, maintaining, further developing and implementing the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), which is a system of levels and types for awards of qualifications based on standards of knowledge, skill or competence . • deciding which awards are included in the NFQ. • facilitating the recognition of qualifications inside and outside the state. In summary the services comprise the establishment of a validated evidence base for QQI to use when updating its standards-based assessment infrastructure for further education and training and higher education in Ireland. QQI wishes to discover stakeholders’ views on issues that might be addressed in that regard including what is working well and what is not. The focus is on the quality assurance of assessment including its interpretations and uses and not on specific techniques for assessment. It is also seeking to better understand the national context for standards-based assessment including how awarding bodies in Ireland satisfy themselves of the effectiveness of their standards-based assessment-related policies considering that assessment has both summative and formative purposes. Finally, QQI is interested in a comparison of practices of a selection of awarding bodies, providers, quality assurance agencies, and - European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BolognaFrist: 01. C3S2 610 Development of an event-linked counterfactual diagnostic evidence layer based on ECMWF forecast and reanalysis information in support of the C3S Operational Attribution Office
This ITT aims to develop a methodological framework and supporting procedures for generating event-conditioned diagnostic evidence for high-impact extreme events by assessing how key characteristics of observed present-day events would differ under counterfactual climate conditions without anthropogenic warming. Tenderers must propose a scientifically robust and operationally feasible approach, including an assessment of data availability, computational requirements, reproducibility, interpretability and delivery timelines, while confirming that no new large-scale climate or weather model simulations will be undertaken. The successful tenderer will, in consultation with C3S, establish quality requirements and an evaluation methodology to assess the physical consistency, robustness, reproducibility, transparency and limitations of the derived evidence, and will provide a comprehensive handover package to support future operational or pre-operational implementation. - FAIR - Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbHDarmstadt

EBS Regulation (2019/2152) impact assessment support
European business statistics (EBS) provide a wide range of information on businesses operating in the EU’s industry, trade, construction and service sectors, as well as their global interactions. The fast-changing social, technological and economic environment and related globalisation (and regionalisation) as well as competitiveness challenges and opportunities have however shown the need for responding in timelier manner to new user needs supporting policy action. The call to reduce the administrative burden on businesses requires an assessment of the sources and methods used for compiling EBS to ensure that the impact on the businesses is as limited as possible. To this end, the Commission launched the evaluation of the EBS Regulation (2019/2152), which is the first formal step in the review process. The impact assessment is the next important step in the review, in line with the Better Regulation requirements. The current call is aiming at contracting services supporting the Commission in performing the impact assessment of a potential amendment to the EBS Regulation. The tasks cover: problem definition; drivers, objectives, and policy options definition; cost and benefits identification and assessment; stakeholders’ consultations definition and implementation; collection, analyses and reporting on information required for drawing conclusions on the policy options; reporting on the results of the assessment, drawing conclusions and development of monitoring KPIs for the preferred policy option; support throughout the adoption process. The tasks and deliverables under this contract would support the Commission in drawing conclusions and deciding on the policy options concerning a potential amendment of the EBS Regulation, as well as on drafting the Commission Staff Working Document accompanying a potential proposal for amendment to the EBS Regulation. - Expertgruppen för biståndsanalysStockholmFrist: 23.
