The project comprises external refurbishment works to the existing school building, including the careful removal and disposal of existing defective render to the front and side elevations. The works include preparation of the underlying substrate and the application of a new breathable lime render system in accordance with the project specifications. The works further include the removal and replacement of existing rainwater goods, including gutters, downpipes, brackets, fixings and associated fittings, together with all necessary making good works. The project also includes the removal and replacement of defective window lintels, including all necessary temporary support works, localised opening-up works, reinstatement, repairs and making good to adjoining finishes. The Contractor shall carry out all works within a live school environment and shall allow for all necessary protection, access equipment, scaffolding, temporary works, dust suppression, safety measures, hoarding and phasing required to safely complete the works with minimal disruption to school activities. DCC are novating the design responsibility of the Contract to the main contractor who can propose either an alteration and refurbishment of the existing Biomass system which has been out of use since 2014 due to a basement system which was flooded or a new stand alone system. Refurbishment and improvement works at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium
Greyhound Racing Ireland ("the Employer") invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of refurbishment and improvement works at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium, together with all associated works as described within the Tender Documents. The Works comprise the refurbishment and upgrading of identified areas within Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium, including associated building, architectural, mechanical and electrical works, finishes, fittings and all ancillary works necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents. The principal elements of the Works include, but are not limited to, refurbishment of public circulation areas, bars, restaurants, corporate hospitality suites, sanitary accommodation, stairways and back-of-house areas, together with the formation of new wind lobbies, associated signage, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, joinery refurbishment, decoration and all associated making good. The Works are required to be undertaken within a live greyhound racing venue and are subject to critical operational milestones associated with the 2026 Laurels competition. Tenderers shall satisfy themselves that the proposed Works can be executed within the programme constraints set out in the Tender Documents, including the requirement to complete the Phase 1 Works by 11 September 2026 to facilitate operational readiness prior to the commencement of the Laurels. This project involves the removal of the bridge decks of Meenreagh 1 Bridge (3.4m span) and Meenreagh 2 Bridge (4.7m span), which both are single span composite deck bridges, and replacing them with new reinforced concrete deck slabs. The scope of works also includes the repair of existing masonry abutments, construction of new RC parapet walls, bituminous road reinstatement/repair and all other associated site works.
