Ausschreibungsbeschreibung
The objective of the Framework Agrement is the provision of a service to produce timely, high-quality information for the energy sector; extending the information already available through the current C3S operational energy service to the global scale. The contract will make use of climate data published within the Climate Data Store, for example, the extension of ERA 5 back to 1950, to provide new and relevant bias adjusted climate variables and energy indicators. The contract will also provide enhanced toolbox applications, including those at the seasonal forecast timescales, specific tools and case studies developed with engagement with user communities in the energy sector.

10C3S2 412 bis Enhanced C3S Energy Service
European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BolognaThe objective of the Framework Agreement is to enhance the uptake and effective use of Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) seasonal products within the energy sector. The main goal is to support energy-sector decision-making several months in advance through the co-production of tailored seasonal climate and energy products. This will be achieved by the co-development of seasonal forecast post-processing workflows, their implementation, and co-design of visual components.Copernicus C3S2 410 Multi-model Operational Hydrological Seasonal Prediction Service
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnThe objective of the Framework Agreement is to provide an operational service to produce timely, high quality, probabilistic global multi-model hydrological seasonal forecast and retrospective forecasts (hindcasts) information, and to make such information available through the Climate Data Store (CDS), in synergy with the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) hydrological seasonal forecasting component. This service is built on the C3S Global multi-model hydrological Seasonal prediction Service, under a demonstration phase in Copernicus 1, and includes GloFAS seasonal forecasts from CEMS as an integral part of the multi-model system.Copernicus CJS2 120 Provision of website maintenance, support and development services
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnThis FWA is for providing web services for the Copernicus Climate Change service (C3S) and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) public websites: http://climate.copernicus.eu and http://atmosphere.copernicus.eu. These websites are an essential part of the ECMWF Copernicus services communication channels to reach out to their audiences and promote scientific content, provide access to climate and atmospheric data and keep the public informed with key environmental information.Copernicus C3S2 314 Support for Climate Reanalysis including Satellite Data Rescue
European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BolognaThe main objective of the Framework Agreement is to recover, archive and assess a set of early satellite data records from the late 1960s and 1970s. The primary applications using the data will be future C3S reanalyses, and in the generation of climate data records for Essential Climate Variables.Copernicus C3S2 520 Quality Assurance for Datasets in the Climate Data Store
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnThe objective of the Framework Agreement is to enhance the quality and efficiency of the C3S Evaluation and Quality Control (EQC) function through the delivery of an efficient and timely quality assurance of C3S climate datasets. The final goal is to facilitate users in the dataset selection and the self-assessment fitness-for-purpose of the selected datasets. The contract will continue the EQC effort addressed in previous EQC contracts during Copernicus 1, evolve the existing EQC concepts and infrastructure already put in place, and further consolidate, harmonise and streamline the entire framework, including its methodologies, procedures and outputs.Copernicus C3S2 430a Maintenance and Development to Support the C3S – EEA Interface: European Climate Data Explorer
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnThe contract builds on existing C3S activities to make key indicators from the Climate Data Store available within the EEA’s Climate Adapt portal through interactive applications. The objective of the contract is twofold: (i) maintain the existing service to ensure that the user experience is preserved; and (ii) include additional climate impact indicators to EEA users. Such indicators have either been recently published in the CDS, or, if absent from the CDS, will be orchestrated by a toolbox workflow. In addition, the contractor will collate the evolving requirements from the EEA to prioritise and develop new applications and functionality into the European Climate Data Explorer (Climate Adapt) to assist with EEA's member states adaptation reporting.Copernicus C3S2 120a Technical Support for the Management of ECMWF’s ECVs Contracts
European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BolognaThis contract will provide the support needed for the technical and contractual management of operational ECV contracts. In particular, the main objectives of the contractor are to provide timely reviews of contract deliverables, verification of contract milestones and take on the role of Technical Officer for atmospheric physics ECVs.Copernicus C3S2 360 Regional Climate Reanalysis Timely Updates
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), invited tenders for production of timely updates of regional reanalyses datasets that have been produced in the first phase of Copernicus Programme (COP1). The ITT was conducted in two lots, following which ECMWF awarded the contract under Lot 2 and no contract was awarded under Lot 1.Copernicus C3S2 601 Advancing Ocean Data Assimilation methodology for Climate Applications
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)BonnThe objective of the Framework Agreement is to enhance the ocean data assimilation for climate applications in the context of C3S reanalysis activities. Specific developments include the treatment of model error to provide temporal consistency in the ocean estimation, solutions for scalable ensemble using multigrid capability, improved flow dependent formulation of background error, especially important for the assimilation of surface variables. The contract also involves bringing past developments on stochastic physics and 4D-var to the most recent version of the ocean and sea ice modelA FRAMEWORK OF SPECIALIST SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR THE AWARD OF SERVICES CONTRACTS SERVING A STATEWIDE ENERGY CONSERVATION INITIATIVE IN CENTRAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC SECTOR BUILDINGS
Office of Public Works (OPW)TrimFrist: 28. Aug.To assist with the administration of OPW's Optimising Power @ Work energy efficiency campaign, the Office of Public Works (OPW) intend to establish a Framework from which Energy Specialists providing professional services in the areas of staff energy awareness, Behavioural Change, Energy Auditing/Reporting, Optimisation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls in Central Government and Public Sector Facilities, may be appointed. These facilities may include Hospitals, Prisons, Third Level Education Institutions, Laboratories, Data Centres, Office Accommodation, County Councils and other Public Sector buildings. Over 50 large facilities participate in Optimising Power @ Work's Wider Public Sector programme currently. The contracts associated with these participants will expire during the new framework term and in many cases will be due for retendering under the new framework rules. (subject to approvals). In addition approximately 15No facilities have applied to join the programme. Up to five suitable Energy Specialist service providers shall be appointed to the framework. This CfT includes notional tender requests for a representative sample of the type of facilities that participate in the programme. The rates quoted in the notional tender returns will form the cost basis for the award of future contracts from the framework in accordance with the framework rules. The success of the Optimising Power @ Work programme relies on 3 fundamental elements: 1. Technology: Energy loggers and metering (installed by others as required but periodically validated by the appointed service provider during the contract term) 2. Specialist Resources: Energy advisors are appointed from the framework to work with energy teams in each building 3. Staff Engagement: Active energy teams comprising managers, staff and other key stakeholders in each building The purpose of this CfT is to select suitable service providers for appointment (as per item No.2 above) to a framework for the provision of specialist energy services as described in the services requirements.
