UNDPKyrgyzstanDeadline: Sep 04Innovation Challenge UNDP-UZB-01962 - Innovative solutions for restoring degraded and saline lands in the Lower Amu Darya Call for Proposals for the Challenge The UNDP Uzbekistan aims to respond to the development challenges under the initiative of "Aral Sea Wetlands Innovation Challenge 2026". Specifically, Innovation Challenge is to research and find innovative solutions for restoring degraded and saline lands in the Lower Amu Darya.Challenge Areas:Amudarya and Muynak districts, Republic of KarakalpakstanPre-proposal conference / webinar on innovation challengeInterested applicants are invited to attend the pre-proposal conference / webinar on innovation challenge: Date and time: 15:00 hours on 25 August 2026 (GMT +5 / Tashkent time)Zoom link: https://undp.zoom.us/j/85913737770 Objective of the Challenge:The Government of Uzbekistan has made restoration of the Aral Sea region a national environmental priority. The Aral Sea Wetlands Project is implemented by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change together with UNDP and financed by the Global Environment Facility. The Project promotes integrated land and water management, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation and resilient livelihoods in the Lower Amu Darya.Land degradation remains a major challenge in the target landscape. Salinity, declining soil fertility, loss of vegetation cover, wind erosion and reduced productivity weaken ecosystems and livelihoods. The Project has generated land degradation neutrality assessments and sustainable land management recommendations, but locally suitable solutions still need practical field testing and evidence before wider replication. The Aral Sea Wetlands Innovation Challenge is therefore inviting pilot-ready innovations from businesses, research institutions, civil society and community-based actors. The competition will reward solutions that can deliver measurable restoration results in eligible degraded areas of Amudarya and Muynak districts and genOperational Support to In-Season Crop Monitoring and Yield Forecasting Activities (MARSOP7)
European Commission, DG GROW - Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEsBrusselsDeadline: Sep 17The purpose of the tender is to contract operational services related to the crop monitoring and yield forecasting activities of the JRC.D.5 unit (MARSOP). Implementing Article 25 of the horizontal regulation of the Common Agricultural Policy REG (EU) 2021/2116 on Monitoring Agricultural Resources (MARS), JRC.D.5 provides DG AGRI with timely, independent, and high-quality information on crop state and development, including quantitative forecasts of agricultural yields and production in the EU and neighbouring countries. This information is used by DG AGRI to ensure food security and for decision-making in agricultural markets. The JRC provides matching staff for agricultural analysts and experts producing monthly JRC MARS Bulletins for Commission-internal and public use, which are well received by private sector stakeholders, academics and the general public. The operational services sustain the operation and further development of the MARS Crop Yield Forecasting System (MCYFS) at the heart of the crop monitoring activities at D.5.37K2 64 104 0 - Berichterstattung von Methan-Emissionen aus Biogasanlagen (BioMeth)

In summary the services comprise the establishment of a validated evidence base for QQI to use when updating its standards-based assessment infrastructure for further education and training and higher education in Ireland. QQI wishes to discover stakeholders’ views on issues that might be addressed in that regard including what is working well and what is not. The focus is on the quality assurance of assessment including its interpretations and uses and not on specific techniques for assessment. It is also seeking to better understand the national context for standards-based assessment including how awarding bodies in Ireland satisfy themselves of the effectiveness of their standards-based assessment-related policies considering that assessment has both summative and formative purposes.
