Ausschreibung für ein Gemeindebeteiligungsprojekt im Rahmen des Shared Island Initiative Peatland Programme zur Torfwiederherstellung in Irland, Nordirland und Schottland. Ziel ist die Gestaltung und Umsetzung eines flaggschiffartigen Projekts, das die gelebte Erfahrung lokaler Gemeinschaften in Torfmoorhabitats nutzt, um eine gestufte Erzählung zu präsentieren. Das Programm umfasst Leuchtturm-Demonstrationsorte für praktische Torfwiederherstellung, Kapazitätsaufbau, Forschung, Wissensaustausch und Behandlung soziokultureller Aspekte. Finanziert mit 10 Mio. € vom Irish Government’s Shared Island Initiative Fund und 5 Mio. € vom National Parks and Wildlife Service, plus zusätzlichen Mitteln von NIEA und NatureScot. Geleitet von LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature, NPWS, NIEA und NatureScot für Scotlands Peatland ACTION Partnership.
