Die Dienststelle Entsorgung St.Gallen (nachfolgend ESG) ist für die Entsorgung der Siedlungsabfälle in der Stadt St.Gallen verantwortlich. Im Rahmen dieser Tätigkeit ist sie auch für die Versorgung der Bevölkerung mit offiziellen Gebührenkehrichtsäcken zuständig. Die Abfallregion St.Gallen-Rorschach-Appenzell (nachfolgend A-Region) ist für die Entsorgung der Siedlungsabfälle von 39 Ostschweizer Gemeinwesen in den Kantonen St.Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden und Thurgau verantwortlich. Im Rahmen dieser Tätigkeit ist sie auch für die Versorgung der Bevölkerung mit offiziellen Gebührenkehrichtsäcken, Kunststoffsammelsäcken (Kuh-Bag) und Sperrgutmarken zuständig. Die ausgeschriebenen Leistungen sind in Lose aufgeteilt und umfassen unterschiedliche Teilaufgaben.
