Bauvorhaben Die Institutsgebäude am Botanischen Garten der Universität Zürich aus den späten 1970er Jahren benötigen nach jahrzehntelanger Nutzung eine Gesamtinstandsetzung. Diese ist für den Zeitraum 2036 – 2039 vorgesehen. Bis dahin sollen stabilisierende Massnahmen den sicheren Betrieb gewährleisten. Das Areal des Botanischen Gartens ist im Inventar der schützenswerten Gärten und Anlagen von kommunaler Bedeutung aufgeführt und unterliegt den Auflagen der Garten- und Denkmalpflege. Unter diesen Rahmenbedingungen sind unter anderem Gebäudehülle, Leitungen sowie der Brandschutz zu untersuchen und zu ertüchtigen.
