Diese Maßnahme wird im Förderprogramm KfW 444 - Natürlicher Klimaschutz in Kommunen - Pflanzung von Bäumen anteilig gefördert. Das Ziel des Projektes ist, möglichst das Straßenbegleitgrün mit Großbaumpflanzungen zu ergänzen, die relativ schnell Schatten spenden und die Biodiversität fördern. Zudem soll das Überleben der Neupflanzungen auch in zunehmenden Dürreperioden gesichert werden.
