Das IAM - ESS - Institute for Applied Materials - Energy Storage Systems am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) plant die Anschaffung eines Geräts für die Optische Emissionsspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma. Im Rahmen der Installation von CELEST - CERL (Circular Economy Recycling Lab) soll ein kompaktes ICP-OES Tischgerät zur simultanen, quantitativen Bestimmung von Ionenkonzentrationen angeschafft werden. Der Hauptanwendungsbereich liegt in wässrigen Lösungen von Batteriematerialien, Lösungen aus Batterierecyclingprozessen und Lösungen mit hohen Salzgehalten z.B. aus geothermalen Tiefenwässern. Dabei sollen insbesondere die Konzentration von Li, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, K, Ca, Cr, Fe, Ni, Co, Mn, Cu, Ti, Zr, Pb, B, V, und Nd quantitativ bestimmt werden.
