Ziel ist die Erhöhung des Hochwasserschutzes auf HQ100 für die Ortslagen Gonna und nördliche Teile Sangerhausens durch Reduzierung der HQ100-Abflussspitze von 8,75 m³/s auf 6 m³/s.
