Biomedicum Imaging Unit In Vivo Imaging (BIU-IVI) is an open-access core service research infrastructure at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki, part of the Helsinki In Vivo Animal Imaging Platform (HAIP) of Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLife). BIU-IVI provides unique multimodal live animal imaging equipment and services for pre-clinical biomedical research. BIU-IVI acquired a modular imaging system for rodent positron emission tomography (PET) and X-ray computed tomography (CT) of rodents in 2022 from Molecubes, currently part of Bruker. With this system, the PET signal from radiolabeled tracers can be automatically co-registered with a CT image as an anatomical reference, with easy transfer of experimental animals between the two imaging modules. The current location of the PET/CT system is in Biomedicum Helsinki Laboratory Animal Centre, within a room retrofitted for this purpose, which enables combining nuclear imaging with e.g. the optical imaging modalities we offer in Biomedicum; however, the PET & CT modules can also be transported to other suitable locations e.g. in Kumpula or Viikki campuses when required. One of the most important criteria for the selection of the Molecubes imaging system at the time of procurement was the possibility of adding a third imaging module for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The requirements for a SPECT system can only be met by upgrading the existing Molecubes PET/CT system.

10Analysis instrument for allergies and immunology to Sykehuset Innlandet HF
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØSykehuset Innlandet Health Trust intends to enter into an agreement with Thermo Fisher Diagnostics AS for the procurement of an analysis instrument for allergies and auto-immunology. The mandate for the procurement of new instruments for analysing immunology shall be seen in connection with the need for an instrument for allergy examinations. The aim is to gather analyses of samples for immunological and allergological examinations in one instrument. The contract will be signed after a procurement without a competition in accordance with the procurement regulations §13-4 letter b.Intercept boxes for the Blood Bank at the Nordland Hospital, (pathogen inactivation of thrombocyte concentrate)
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØThe Nordland Hospital shall procure a pathogenic inactivation system for thrombocytes. A market dialogue has been carried out to map the market. It has been clarified that there are no other suppliers who can deliver a system that meets the minimum requirements for removing 99% of pathogens from the thrombocyte concentrate. The procurement also includes entering into a framework agreement for the purchase of equipment specific consumables. The procurement will be made as a procurement without competition, as competition is impossible for technical reasons, cf. the Regulations 12 August 2016 no. 974 on public procurements (FOA) § 13-4 letter b, point 2. The contract will be signed 10 days at the earliest after publication of the intention notice.Embryoskop og benkeinkubator for the IVF outpatients clinic at UNN HF Tromsø.
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØThe University Hospital of North Norway HF (UNN) intends to enter into a contract with Vitrolife for the procurement of an hourly lapseinkubator for cultivation and monitoring of embryos, which shall ensure optimal culturing conditions for treatment with assisted fertilisation. The incubator shall have integrated, user friendly and automated software/artificial intelligence that shall help identify the best embryos, based on the following parameters: • Morphinetics (time specific morphological changes) during embryo development • Morphology of fertilised oocyte and embryos • Blastomer division (number, fragmentation and symmetry) • Timing of cell division • Dividing pattern (kinetics) of eggs (oocytes and embryos) and symmetry • Presence of specific cell structures such as pole bodies, pronuclei, number of blastomers, fragmentation etc. • Embryoscoring on days 3 and day 5 • Blastocystekspansjon/-quality o Inner cell mass (degree of gasket/number of cells) o Trofoektoderm (pack degree/number of cells) In addition, we would like artificial intelligence based on a neuronal network for evaluating embryos quality that can be used to select the best embryo for returning to the woman. The above mentioned parameters offer options to follow the embryo development on days 1 -5 after fertilisation, which gives the best assessment of the quality of the embryo. In order to meet UNN's requirements, the incubator must have capacity for continual monitoring of minimum 15 patients with 16 embryos per patient. The contracting authority announced a market survey in March 2026 to map possible suppliers and it was estimated that only Vitrolife can deliver a system in accordance with the customer ́s needs. It is, therefore, that the exception in the Public Procurement Regulations §13-4 letter b) no. 2 will apply. Any objections are requested to be submitted within 15 days after the publication date via the communication module in Ivalua. The contract will be signed after the waiting period has expired.Laboratory automation for Sykehuset Østfold HF
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØDeadline: Sep 03The procurement includes an automation system with connected analysis instruments combined in a fully automatic system, including middleware, conveyor belt, pre-analytical functions (replacement of the current automation system at Kalnes), as well as free-standing instruments at the locations in Askim, Fredrikstad, Moss, Sarpsborg and Halden in order to ensure method equality and connection to a joint middleware system. The current analyses shall be maintained and the automation system shall have the capacity to ensure an annual increase of 4% from the analysis volume in 2025. The automation system shall cover the disciplines of clinical chemistry (including lowering and ionised calcium), immune chemistry, haematology, coagulation, infection serology, HbA1c and allergy and auto-immunity. It ought to have a high degree of flexibility both as regards the physical system and middleware, and it should easily include new analysis instruments, modules and tests (analyses) that can be relevant in the coming years. Later expansion with other disciplines than those mentioned above can be relevant. The automation system shall see to the receipt and distribution of samples for other parts and disciplines in the Centre for Laboratory Medicine. The aim of the procurement is to see to the Hospital Østfold ́s level of activity and the need for development over the next 10 years, and the solution shall contribute to realising the Centre for Laboratory Medicine ́s basic idea that everything that can be automated shall be automated and everything that can be connected to an automation system shall be connected independently of the discipline.Ophthalmology Furniture and Equipment CfT for The National Children's Hospital
National Paediatric Hospital Development BoardDublinNational Paediatric Hospital Development Board invites tenders for supply, installation and commissioning of ophthalmology furniture and equipment for the new children's hospital. Three lots: Lot 1: Ophthalmology Treatment Chair; Lot 2: Ophthalmology Treatment Tables (Slit Lamp and wheelchair friendly); Lot 3: Non-contact high resolution Scheimpflug corneal tomography system with optical biometry for paediatric ophthalmology. Tenderers may bid for one, two or all lots.Equipment for weekend sequencing for the Department of Medical Genetics at UNN HF Tromsø.
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØThe Medical Genetics Department at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) intends to procure 1 sequentialator from PacBio to read long fragments of long-read sequencing (DNA and RNA sequencing). The instruments shall be used for diagnostics and shall replace and supplement the current diagnostics based on short-read sequencing (SRS). This is because LRS detects some types of genetic variation better than SRS, e.g. major structural deviations and methylation status. Method transfer shall therefore be carried out from the current SRS to a new LRS for selected medical indications and it is therefore very important that these sequentators deliver a sequence of very high quality and reproducibility. There are several technical specifications that are decisive for achieving the quality we need for this purpose, for example: - The sequencing must be able to carry out sequencing with long read lengths of DNA and RNA for clinical samples. The read length of sequential fragments must at least be median 10-15 kb. At least 90% of the bases must have a quality of Q30 or higher in a typical 30X human genome. The instrument shall be particularly suitable for detecting major structural deviations and methylation status. - The data quality of SNP variants and short parts <50 bp must be at least as good as that achieved by Illumina SRS. This is important so that the analytical sensitivity of the analysis offer is not reduced for these types of variants and that the quality of the analysis offer is not, therefore, impaired for the patient analyses that shall only be carried out on a new long-read sequentator. - Sensitivity and precision must be documented in a reference dataset for the entire genome (i.e. not just the encoded areas in the genome) with the following parameters met: (i) F1 score > 99 % for SNS. (ii) F1 score > 95 % for INDEL's. (iii) F1 score >90 % for structural variants (SV's). (iv) Recall or F1-score for SNVs and INDEL are for technically challengiDNA-free PCR reagents for the Department for Microbiology at Oslo University Hospital.
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØThe contracting authority needs DNA-free PCR reagents that are used for detecting bacterial DNA in various sample materials such as spinal fluid, biopsies, pleura fluid, articulated fluid etc. The reagents must be without contamination of bacterial DNA, and the contracting authority has tested different reagents and has not found other reagents that meet the requirements than the products from Molzym. The contract will be signed in accordance with the procurement without a contract in accordance with the procurement regulations §13-4 letter b. The contract will be signed 10 days at the earliest after publication of the intention notice.Intruments for clinical chemistry to the Department of Laboratory Medicine at UNN HF Tromsø
SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØLaboratory medicine at the University Hospital of North Norway health trust shall procure a new automation line for clinical chemistry. Thus, 1 module must be procured for immunochemistry, including a cobas pro e-module, as this is the only module on the market that is certified by NOKLUS for hcg as a cancer marker. A contract is planned to be signed with Roche Diagnostics Norway AS during August 2026. The competition is therefore impossible for technical reasons, as there is only one specific supplier who can deliver, cf. foa paragraph 13-4 letter b second and third paragraphs. The procurement can be implemented without a competition.Qualification: Laboratory automation for Østfold Hospital.
