The purpose of this procurement is to establish a reliable, flexible, and efficient transportation arrangement for the collection and transportation of Non-Food Items (NFIs) from designated locations to beneficiaries and other designated delivery points. Transportation services may be required between Xai-Xai, Maputo, and Inhambane, and vice versa, depending on IOM's operational requirements. The selected supplier(s) will be required to provide a fleet of enclosed, well-maintained, roadworthy, properly licensed, and insured trucks, with carrying capacities ranging from 2 tons up to 40 tons. The vehicles must be suitable for the safe transportation and protection of NFIs and must comply with all applicable Mozambican transport, safety, and roadworthiness requirements. The required transportation services are intended to be provided for a period of one (1) year from the effective date of the agreement. IOM may request vehicles of different capacities throughout the contract period based on operational needs, cargo volume, destination, and transportation requirements. Loading and unloading services are not included in the scope of this truck rental service. Loading and unloading of NFIs will be arranged and managed by IOM or other designated parties. The supplier's responsibility will primarily include the provision of the appropriate enclosed truck, qualified and licensed driver(s), and safe transportation of the cargo between the designated collection and delivery points.
