Der GW-L2 ist ein vielseitiges, genormtes (DIN 14555-22) Fahrzeug der deutschen Feuerwehr, das primär für Transport- und Logistikaufgaben zuständig ist, Material wie Schlauchcontainer (B-Schläuche), Ölbindemittel oder technische Hilfeleistungssätze (Scheren, Spreizer) transportiert, über eine große Ladefläche mit Ladebordwand für bis zu sechs Rollcontainer verfügt und so flexibel auf verschiedene Einsatzlagen wie Wasserschäden, Umwelteinsätze oder technische Hilfe reagieren kann.
