UNDPKyrgyzstanDeadline: Sep 02RFQ/GRACE/2608/46 – Supply and Delivery of a Mini Hydraulic Excavator Sri Lanka’s Northern and Eastern Provinces remain affected by landmine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) contamination, posing continued risks to communities, livelihoods, and recovery processes in post-conflict areas. Under the National Mine Action Completion Strategy (2023–2027), the National Mine Action Centre (NMAC), with support from UNDP, is working toward achieving a mine-free Sri Lanka by 2028; however, newly identified hazardous areas, complex terrain, funding constraints, and climate-related disruptions such as flooding and soil erosion have increased operational challenges and safety risks for deminers. Women constitute a significant share of the demining workforce and play a vital role in sustaining operations, yet they often work in physically demanding and high-risk environments where improved, gender-responsive technologies and safer operational systems are critically needed. To address these constraints and enhance national mine action capacity, the project prioritizes the introduction of advanced, safety-enhancing technologies & equipment, to improve clearance speed, precision, and worker protection in challenging field conditions. As an essential component of this initiative, the procurement process will focus on the Procurement of a Mini Hydraulic Excavator. Qualified bidders are invited to submit their bids for the RFQ, "RFQ/GRACE/2608/46 – Supply and Delivery of a Mini Hydraulic Excavator" Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document, following the instructions in the available user guide.
