Die Gemeinde Klein Wesenberg hat 756 Einwohner und hat sich entschlossen, das auf dem Grundstück Alte Dorfstraße 18a in Klein Wesenberg gelegene Feuerwehrgerätehaus aufzugeben, weil es den heutigen Anforderungen nicht mehr genügt. Es gibt nur sehr begrenzte Erweiterungsmöglichkeiten am alten Standort und die Parksituation ist stark überarbeitungsbedürftig. Alles in allem entspricht das vorhandene Gebäude nicht mehr dem Stand der Technik (u. a. DIN 14092) und auch nicht den Vorschriften und Regel-werken der Unfallversicherungsträger. Das geplante Gebäude soll auf einer Teilfläche des jetzigen Sport- und Bolzplatzes entstehen.
