R290 is classified as an A3 refrigerant (highly flammable), requiring risk assessment procedures for design, operation, and maintenance phases. The OMRA has been developed to evaluate operational risks associated with the use of R290 in refrigerated container systems. Independent verification is required to ensure compliance with ISO 20854:2019 and to confirm that risk mitigation measures are adequate for safe operation. The selected service provider will review, validate, and verify the OMRA methodology includeing, hazard identification, and mitigation measures.
