Es ist der Ersatz der Stahlkastenbrücke durch eine neue Stahlhohlkastenbrücke mit Lagerung auf den vorhandenen Pfeilern und Widerlagern geplant. Der nördliche Teil der Moselbrücke ist eine Gewölbebrücke, für die eine neue Abdichtung vorgesehen ist. Beim EÜ Moselring ist eine vollständige Erneuerung der Überbauten und Widerlager geplant.
