NTNU plant die Errichtung einer saisonalen thermischen Energiespeicheranlage (GeoTermos) am Gløshaugen-Campus. Das Projekt umfasst einen Brunnenpark mit ca. 100 Energiebrunnen (je ca. 200 m Tiefe), zugehörige Rohrleitungen und Verteilersysteme. Die Anlage soll Überschusswärme im Sommer speichern und im Winter abgeben. Sie ist an neue Gebäude und ein Niedertemperaturnetz anzuschließen. Besondere Herausforderungen: Standort mit schwierigen Bodenverhältnissen (Schnubleton), hohe Betriebssicherheit und lange Lebensdauer, Speicherung bei Temperaturen bis 50-60 °C, gute Dämmung durch unverdichtete Schichten sowie Wechselwirkung mit anderen Energiesystemen des Campus. NTNU führt einen Marktdialog vor der finalen Lösungswahl.
