The main aim is that Arendal municipality can easily secure the correct competence and machines/equipment that can supplement municipal work teams when their own capacity is not sufficient. The assignments can vary in scope - from minor assignments carried out by a operator with the accompanying vehicles, to larger projects that require several work layers and extensive machines. These installations are subdivided in the following sections: 1. Technical installations; HVAC, including plumbing, sanitary installations, drainage, water and gas supply; and electricity (HV and LV), lighting, emergency lighting, emergency generators, lightning protection, distribution boards, UPS’s equipotential connections and earthing; 2. Building elements (access, doors, windows, locks, outer walls, external carpentry, wall covering, flooring, ceiling, roof and parking area, gutters,…). These installations are located on the JRC-Geel site. The site has a surface of 38 hectares and contains approximately 20 buildings.
