Im Forschungsprojekt FORTUNA werden Bodenproben aus Untersuchungsflächen im Nationalpark Hunsrück-Hochwald molekularbiologisch untersucht. Im Fokus stehen Bodenpilze und Bakterien im Kontext der Waldentwicklung nach Borkenkäferkalamitäten. Die Leistungen beinhalten u.a. die Aufbereitung und DNA-Extraktion von bis zu 300 Bodenproben, ITS2- und 16S-rRNA-Gen Sequenzierung sowie pilzliche und bakterielle qPCR. Dazu kommen die bioinformatische Auswertung mit taxonomischen und funktionellen Zuordnungen, eine vollständige Daten- und Methodendokumentation und eine fachliche Beratung.
