Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The ILO is seeking a lawyer to validate eight regulatory factsheets that summarize the key legal provisions governing migrant workers in the GCC countries, Lebanon and Jordan. These country briefs are produced and annually updated twice and would require legal review and validation after each update. The country briefs cover labour regulations that govern private sector workers and domestic workers, as well as all social protection entitlements migrant workers, including domestic migrant workers, are legally available to them. The lawyer will be expected to apply a desk-based legal review of the briefs and to ensure the original Arabic legal text are accurately interpreted and reflected in the English of these briefs. The selected lawyer will undertake the following tasks: A. Review and verification of legal content: The lawyer will review the prepared country briefs and verify their accuracy ensuring the briefs accurately reflect the legal provisions in the labour law of the eight target countries for both private sector workers and domestic workers.
