Die Feuerwehr Essen beschafft 23 Rettungswagen (RTW) Typ C gemäß DIN EN 1789:2024-07, DIN EN 1846, DIN 14502, DIN 13500, 13073, DIN 1865 sowie UVV DGUV V71. 5 der 23 Fahrzeuge sollen als 4x4 Allrad-RTW angeboten werden (Option im LVZ enthalten, wird bei der Wirtschaftlichkeitsbewertung bevorzugt). Die Fahrzeuge müssen bei Auslieferung den aktuellen DIN/EN-Normen, der StVZO, dem DVS-Merkblatt 0211, dem Stand der Technik sowie EMV-Bestimmungen entsprechen.
