Der Datenaustausch zwischen Bordrechnern und INSA‑RBL erfolgt über die HRC‑Luftschnittstelle; je nach Hersteller kommen Mediatoren zum Einsatz, die entweder bei den Verkehrsunternehmen oder bei der NASA GmbH im Rechenzentrum stehen und proprietäre Nachrichtenformate übersetzen.
