Benötigt wird ein LIMS für ein chemisch-analytisches Kleinlabor. Es unterstützt administrative und koordinative Laborprozesse, Proben- und Analysendatenerfassung, Auswertung und automatisierte Berichterstellung. Das Labor führt Routineuntersuchungen nach Normverfahren und forschungsorientierte Kleinserien durch. Für letztere ist hohe Flexibilität nötig: einfache Anpassung von Eingabemasken und Datenbankstrukturen, Methodenentwicklung, Erweiterung der Untersuchungsmethoden, Aufgabenveränderungen. Erweiterte Dokumentation von Spektren- und Chromatographie-Daten erforderlich. Das LIMS soll Überblick über Messgeräte, Module, Komponenten, Konfiguration bieten und als Wartungsplanungstool dienen (Wartungsintervalle, technischer Stand, Aufgaben). Probenahmen außerhalb der Labore ermöglichen Offline-Eingabe über smarte Geräte (Mobilfunkgeräte, Tablets, Laptops mit Handscanner); später Georeferenzierung geplant. Workflows bedienerfreundlich und schnell anpassbar. Zugriff von Arbeitsplatzrechnern im Büronetz erforderlich.
